Check if your Break Glass has been triggered

If your break glass has been triggered then the fire door won't be locking or correctly operating. A quick way to check if your break glass has been triggered/activated is to look in the reset hole - the 'U' shaped hole above the emergency button (Model Smart1230 shown).

If you see a yellow bar in the reset hole then your break glass has been pressed and needs to be reset. Resetting is easy, just push the dual-pronged reset key into the hole until the yellow bar is pushed upwards and locks into position.

The door should now operate as normal. if the door does not return to normal operation a technician may need to make an onsite visit.
